How to Choose a Vacuum System
Compare the requirements of your equipment with the technical specifications of the station. The main selection criteria are:
- pump capacity in m³/h;
- maximum vacuum level;
- motor power and electrical supply;
- control system type;
- receiver tank capacity, if a vacuum reserve is required;
- connection type and intended application.
The required capacity depends on the size of the press or vacuum bag, the volume of air to be removed and the desired evacuation time. Systems with capacities of 4–8 m³/h are suitable for smaller presses, vacuum bags and individual workstations. Models with capacities of 16–40 m³/h can be used with larger presses, large vacuum bags and multiple vacuum consumers.

Tankless systems provide a compact solution for direct vacuum generation and, depending on their configuration, can be equipped with automatic controls. Stations with receiver tanks provide an additional vacuum reserve, support smoother control-system operation and reduce the frequency of pump starts during repeated operating cycles.

What pump capacity do I need?
The required capacity depends on the system volume and the desired evacuation time. Larger presses, large vacuum bags and multiple connected consumers generally require a higher-capacity pump.
Do I need a vacuum receiver tank?
A receiver tank creates a vacuum reserve and supports smoother control-system operation by reducing the frequency of pump starts. A tankless system may be sufficient for a compact installation with manual control. If automatic vacuum maintenance is required, a station with a receiver tank is recommended. An external receiver tank can be connected to an existing tankless system after checking the connection compatibility and required capacity.
Can one system operate several vacuum bags simultaneously?
Yes, provided that the pump capacity is sufficient for their combined volume and the connection system is designed for multiple consumers. When the bags are connected to a common manifold without individual regulators, the vacuum level will be the same in all bags.
