VLCU-3D-SPAU Vacuum Level Control Unit for Three-Phase Vacuum Pumps

The VLCU-3D-SPAU vacuum level control unit with automatic Start / Stop function is designed to control the operation of vacuum pumps equipped with three-phase motors 3Ph 400 V, 50 Hz. Depending on the version, the unit supports an output current from 2.5 A to 10 A.

The control unit is equipped with integrated motor protection and is suitable for vacuum systems where automatic vacuum maintenance is required. It switches the vacuum pump on and off according to the preset vacuum level, helping to reduce pump running time, improve energy efficiency and maintain stable vacuum conditions during operation.

Vacuum control is based on a Festo SPAU series V1R pressure sensor. The sensor features a backlit digital display, which makes setup and monitoring easy. The current vacuum level is shown directly on the display, and the required vacuum value is maintained automatically.

Connection and system requirements

For correct operation of the vacuum level control unit, the vacuum system must be equipped with a receiver with a minimum volume of 5 litres. The control unit is connected to the vacuum system using a 4 mm vacuum tube.

The VLCU-3D-SPAU is supplied with a 3 m vacuum tube and a G1/8 threaded quick coupling for convenient connection to the vacuum system.

  • Vacuum pump switch-on level: -0.65 bar.
