Natural Rubber Membrane NR-40-2.5-1700 Grey - 1700x1700 mm for Woodworking and Furniture Production

The Natural Rubber Membrane NR-40-2.5-1700 Grey, sized 1700x1700 mm, is designed for the ISTRA-A VPS-1500 vacuum press with a working table of 1500x1500 mm and is compatible with a wide range of membrane and vacuum presses from other manufacturers. Thanks to its universal format and balanced technical characteristics, this membrane is an excellent choice for professional woodworking and furniture production.

The membrane is made of high-quality industrial natural rubber with a hardness of 40 Shore A, ensuring the optimal combination of strength and elasticity. The 2.5 mm thickness allows the membrane to withstand high cyclic loads and distribute pressure evenly across the entire working surface. The material offers exceptional elasticity — up to 600–700%, enabling precise forming of detailed components and complex 3D shapes.

High Strength and Elasticity

The membrane is made from high-quality natural rubber with a hardness of 40 Shore A, offering an ideal balance of elasticity and strength. The 2.5 mm thickness allows it to withstand intensive cyclic loads and distribute pressure evenly across the working surface. The material offers exceptional elasticity — up to 600–700% — enabling precise forming of complex geometries and 3D contours.

The smooth grey surface ensures stable contact with the workpiece and prevents wrinkles, folds, and defects during pressing. The membrane is resistant to tearing and mechanical damage, making it a reliable consumable even in high-intensity production environments. It performs effectively in cold vacuum pressing and at moderate temperatures up to 130°C.

Universal Application

Thanks to its universal size, the NR-40-2.5-1700 Grey membrane is suitable for most vacuum presses of similar class. This makes it an optimal choice for manufacturers using different types of equipment or planning to upgrade their pressing systems. It provides consistent results when processing:

  • plywood;
  • veneer;
  • leather;
  • paper.

Using the NR-40-2.5-1700 Grey membrane helps increase pressing accuracy, improve product quality, and reduce operational costs. The membrane is easy to install, has a long service life, and requires no complex maintenance. We offer fast delivery throughout Europe and worldwide, along with professional packaging to protect the membrane during transportation.
